It's no coincidence that some of the biggest brand names of the digital era are associated with travel. On the supplier side you have Expedia and lastminute.com, then brand side easyJet and Ryanair and now the likes of booking.com and even Google itself - it seems digital marketing and travel were made for each other.
That is why in February, Unique launched the first of their roundtable events partnering with Bazaarvoice.
Leading online practitioners from Avis, Hotels.com, Visit Britain, Thomas Cook and Lowcost Travel met to discuss the challenges and opportunities, the issues they face managing and procuring content, evaluation, attribution and how this has impacted on their businesses strategies and practices.
The result: plenty of valuable insight, some good practice and advice, trends identified and, inevitably, more questions raised about an area that is rapidly emerging and evolving.
